Business Intelligence Analyst / Developer
Location: Belfast (Hybrid working considered)
Salary: Up to £60k depending on experience
Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client is a dynamic, multi-entity organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation. As they continue to expand, they're looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer to be a contributor in designing and delivering BI solutions that support data-driven decision making across the group.

This is a critical hire for the team as they scale. Our clients team have high standard for BI delivery - someone who brought strong technical know-how, practical delivery skills, and a collaborative approach to building better systems and insights.

The Role
You'll be part of a central digital transformation team, responsible for developing and maintaining the BI estate across five group companies. The role covers Power BI development, Power Platform automation, and ERP integration - all within a Microsoft-first environment including Dynamics 365 F&O, CRM, and Azure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BI delivery for ERP and CRM platforms (Dynamics 365 F&O & CRM).

  • Design and build Power BI solutions with DAX, Power Query, and SQL.

  • Deliver reporting frameworks and manage secure access structures (Workspace Apps, AD Groups).

  • Drive the migration from SQL Server and SSAS to Microsoft Fabric.

  • Build Power Apps and Power Automate workflows to systemise approval flows, reduce duplication, and enhance user experience.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver clear, insightful dashboards and models aligned with business needs.

  • Automate key business processes including creation of suppliers, products, and demand records in D365.

What We're Looking For

  • Commercial experience developing end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI and SQL.

  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate).

  • Experience working with ERP systems, ideally D365 F&O.

  • Ability to engage stakeholders, understand business needs, and turn them into practical reporting or automation solutions.

  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to scope, deliver, and support complex solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Microsoft Certifications (Power BI, Power Platform, Azure)

  • Experience managing permissions via Active Directory groups

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure DevOps, or D365 CRM
