Technical Director of Engineering (100% remote role)

The Role:
As Technical Director of Engineering, you will lead multiple globally distributed software engineering teams across back-end, front-end, full-stack, and QA disciplines. You will be a key member of the senior leadership team, shaping the technology roadmap, embedding secure engineering practices, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, compliant software.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and scale engineering teams delivering secure GraphQL and RESTful APIs
* Guide front-end teams building compliant React and Next.js web portals
* Oversee full-stack teams developing ASP.NET applications for onboarding and reporting
* Drive quality engineering practices using tools like Playwright, SpecFlow, and Testiny
* Collaborate with Product, Delivery, and Architecture to define and deliver a value-driven roadmap
* Champion data architecture and resilience using Snowflake and MS SQL
* Promote Lean and Agile methodologies to deliver on time and within budget
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary software engineering teams across geographies
* Strong technical background across API, front-end, and full-stack environments
* Demonstrated ability to embed compliance standards within the development lifecycle
* Track record of building and delivering scalable, secure platforms in a regulated environment
* Hands-on leadership style with a focus on mentoring, quality, and technical delivery
