AI/ML Engineer - 100% remote - Exclusive to Ocho - candidates should be based in N.Ireland

* Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 depending on experience

The Role:

We're hiring an experienced and skilled AI/ML Engineer to lead the development of intelligent, automated capabilities within our FinOps platform. You'll play a pivotal role in designing and implementing machine learning models that drive recommendations, detect anomalies, and enhance forecasting and analytics. This is a senior-level position that blends hands-on technical work with architectural thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning initiatives from discovery and data exploration to production deployment and post-release monitoring
* Design and implement machine learning models for anomaly detection, forecasting, recommendations, and predictive analytics in a cloud cost optimisation context
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data, and engineering to deliver impactful ML solutions that are tightly integrated into the platform
* Continuously evaluate the performance of ML models and pipelines, and iterate quickly using a metrics-driven approach
* Contribute to the design of scalable ML infrastructure with an eye on performance and reliability in production environments
* Stay informed on the latest AI/ML research, tools, and cloud-related technologies to help inform roadmap decisions and drive technical innovation

Essential Criteria:

* 5+ years of experience in machine learning and AI engineering with a focus on cloud, SaaS, or data-intensive platforms
* Proven expertise with Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
* Deep understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning techniques, time series forecasting, and recommendation systems
* Experience building and scaling ML models in production environments
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related FinOps or cloud cost optimisation challenges
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a distributed, agile team
