The Role:
We're hiring a React Developer to design and build high-performance, visually rich web applications that bring cloud optimisation insights to life. This is a key role working across a modern React/TypeScript stack to shape user interfaces for a next-gen FinOps platform. You'll collaborate closely with backend teams (Go/Python), product managers, and designers to deliver elegant and responsive UIs that make complex cloud operations simple and intuitive for enterprise users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop modern frontend components and applications using React and TypeScript
* Translate complex FinOps workflows into usable, intuitive interfaces in collaboration with product and backend teams
* Design and optimize API interactions using REST and GraphQL
* Champion frontend performance through techniques such as code splitting, lazy loading, and caching
* Prioritize security, implementing best practices in frontend/backend data flows
* Contribute to UI/UX design through feedback, prototyping, and iteration
* Maintain high standards in code quality, testing, and CI/CD integration
* Stay up to date with modern frontend trends and drive continuous improvement
* Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the future of the frontend platform
Essential Criteria:
* Strong commercial experience building frontend applications with React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
* Proven ability to create high-performance, responsive, and accessible interfaces for data-rich SaaS platforms
* Expertise integrating APIs using REST and/or GraphQL
* Experience with frontend build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD best practices
* Passion for clean UI design, usability, and a user-first development approach
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver practical frontend solutions
Desirable Skills:
* Experience optimising performance using tools like Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and techniques like image optimisation
* Familiarity with frontend testing tools: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright
* Proficiency in data visualisation libraries such as Highcharts, D3.js, Chart.js, or ECharts
* Experience working with Vue.js (for understanding and migrating legacy systems)
* Understanding of cloud-native development, containers, and serverless architecture
* Comfort using tools like Postman, Swagger UI, or GraphQL playgrounds for API testing
* Working knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and cross-browser testing
