National Account Manager - Flagship Retail Account

Location: Tyrone

Ocho People are proud to be partnering with our client, an ambitious and scaling business, to appoint a National Account Manager. This is a rare opportunity to take charge of one of the largest and most exciting retail accounts in the UK, with an annual turnover of more than £90 million.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and grow a flagship national retail account, supported by a strong and motivated customer team.

  • Build powerful relationships with senior buyers and decision-makers - becoming the trusted voice for both your client and our business.

  • Take full control of the P&L, delivering revenue and margin growth while identifying new opportunities for diversification.

  • Lead complex, high-value negotiations and close deals that drive long-term success.

  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and marketing teams to deliver best-in-class service and innovative solutions.

  • Champion smarter, more efficient ways of working - cutting costs, streamlining processes, and driving operational excellence.

  • Analyse market data and category trends to shape pricing, promotions, and growth strategies.

  • Be on-site with your customer 2-3 times per month, strengthening partnerships and driving joint performance.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven track record managing and growing major national retail accounts.

  • Strong relationship-building skills - persuasive, energetic, and able to influence at senior level.

  • Sharp commercial instincts - strategic, analytical, and confident making data-driven decisions.

  • Skilled negotiator with experience closing high-value contracts.

  • Entrepreneurial energy - proactive, driven, and outcome-focused.

  • Competence with Microsoft Excel and the wider Office Suite.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience closing large-scale contracts with national retailers.

  • Previous senior account management experience within FMCG, consumer goods, or food.
