We're working with a fast-growing AI automation company that's transforming how enterprise software is tested and delivered. Their intelligent platform uses adaptive AI to replace manual scripts with self-learning test agents - making software delivery faster, smarter, and more reliable.
They're now looking for a Director of Data Science to lead the data and machine learning strategy that powers their product. It's a hands-on leadership role - setting direction, defining architecture, and guiding a team building world-class data infrastructure and ML systems at scale.

What you'll be doing:
* Leading and mentoring a high-performing team of data scientists and data engineers
* Designing and scaling data architecture, ML pipelines, and analytics frameworks
* Building and deploying machine learning models for prediction, anomaly detection, and optimisation
* Establishing best practices for data governance, quality, and observability
* Partnering with product and engineering teams to translate data into action
* Driving innovation through experimentation, automation, and continuous improvement
What you'll bring:
* 10+ years' experience in data science, data engineering, or applied ML
* 3+ years leading technical teams in data-driven or AI-focused environments
* Deep expertise in Python and SQL, with experience in tools such as dbt, Airflow, Databricks, or Snowflake
* Proven experience deploying ML models at scale and applying MLOps best practices
* Strong knowledge of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), and containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
