Senior Software Engineer (.NET) - Financial Systems | Lisburn | £65-70k
A rapidly growing financial technology business is undertaking a complete modernisation of its digital ecosystem and is looking for an experienced .NET engineer to play a key role in that journey. You'll help design and deliver high-performing software that underpins critical financial services, shaping both the technical direction and engineering culture.
This position offers a mix of greenfield product development and modernisation of core systems, with the freedom to influence architecture, development practices and technical standards.
What you'll do
Develop and enhance enterprise-level software using C# and .NET Core
Design microservices and APIs that support scalable, cloud-first platforms
Work collaboratively with product, DevOps and QA to deliver production-ready features
Apply modern design patterns, testing frameworks and CI/CD principles
Participate in architectural discussions and mentor team members
Contribute to the organisation's wider technology roadmap and delivery improvements
What we're looking for
Strong background in backend engineering using .NET Core and C#
Proven experience building robust systems in financial or other regulated environments
Solid grasp of cloud technologies (preferably Azure) and containerised deployments
Strong database design knowledge, ideally with SQL and exposure to NoSQL options
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps tooling
Excellent communicator who can engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders
What's on offer
£65,000-£70,000 depending on experience
