Identity & Access Management (IAM) Manager

Location: Belfast (hybrid)

Our client, a global professional services organisation, is building a newly formed Identity & Access Management function and is seeking an experienced IAM Manager to lead operational delivery in Belfast.

The Opportunity:

This is a key leadership role within Information Security, responsible for ensuring secure, compliant and efficient access to systems and data across a large, complex global environment. The successful candidate will focus on IAM operations, working closely with architecture, engineering, infrastructure and security stakeholders.

The team owns the full IAM lifecycle, from design and deployment through to day-to-day service operation, with a strong emphasis on privileged access, governance, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead IAM operational governance, including privileged access management, RBAC and access certification
  • Oversee day-to-day IAM services, ensuring secure provisioning, review and revocation of access
  • Manage and develop a team of IAM managers and analysts
  • Maintain IAM policies, procedures, controls and documentation
  • Monitor controls, dashboards and reporting to support risk management and audits
  • Collaborate closely with IAM architecture, engineering, infrastructure and compliance teams
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation and service efficiency

Experience:

  • Proven manager or senior lead within IAM, identity, infrastructure or access operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory in enterprise environments
  • Experience with PAM technologies (e.g. CyberArk or similar)
  • Solid understanding of IAM controls, governance, and risk management
  • Comfortable operating at scale and engaging confidently with senior stakeholders
  • Background in IT infrastructure with the ability to apply security principles operationally

Desirable:

  • Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA)
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Exposure to automation, scripting or IAM transformation initiatives
