Business Analyst Contractor - Financial Services - Belfast (Hybrid)
Overview
We're working with a Belfast-based product team delivering a core platform within a financial services environment and they're looking for an experienced Business Analyst contractor to support delivery across multiple workstreams. You'll work closely with a Product Owner to capture domain knowledge and translate it into clear, actionable requirements for the engineering team.
This role suits a BA who is comfortable operating between business and technology, helping shape solutions while keeping delivery moving at pace.
The Role
You'll partner day-to-day with the Product Owner and stakeholders to understand business processes and product goals, documenting requirements in a way that enables efficient development and testing. You'll be responsible for writing user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting artefacts, as well as clarifying scope and priorities with the delivery team.
You'll also support backlog refinement, sprint planning and ongoing clarification during delivery, acting as a key point of contact between business users and developers.

What We're Looking For
Strong experience working as a Business Analyst in technology teams
Some background in financial services environments
Comfortable working with Product Owners to shape requirements
Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
Confident working directly with developers and testers
Able to work onsite in Belfast at least 2 days per week
Contract Details
Rate up to £500 per day
Inside IR35
Hybrid working with minimum 2 days onsite in Belfast
Start within the next couple of weeks
