My client is seeking an experienced Contract Business Analyst to support a major legacy system migration programme. This role sits at the heart of a large transformation, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
The role
Leading requirements discovery for the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms
Working closely with engineering, architecture and delivery teams to bridge business and technical needs
Documenting as-is and to-be processes, data flows and system interactions
Producing clear artefacts including business requirements, functional specs, user stories and process maps
Supporting data and system mapping between legacy and target solutions
Identifying risks, dependencies and gaps throughout the migration lifecycle
Engaging with senior stakeholders to validate scope, priorities and outcomes
What we're looking for
Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on legacy system migrations
Strong background in complex, enterprise-scale change programmes
Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Solid understanding of system integration, data migration and dependencies
Confident producing high-quality documentation and analysis artefacts
Comfortable working in agile, hybrid or waterfall delivery environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have
Experience within financial services, government or regulated environments
Exposure to cloud or platform modernisation programmes
Experience working alongside product owners and architects
Knowledge of data modelling or process automation tools
