.NET Contractor (Outside IR35) - Enterprise Platform
Overview
Ocho is recruiting a .NET Contractor on behalf of our client, a large-scale enterprise technology organisation, to support the delivery of high-availability backend systems and API-driven platforms. This is a hands-on role for a strong engineer who can operate independently and deliver clean, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and enhance .NET services and APIs supporting core business systems
Work closely with engineering, product and QA to deliver high-quality releases
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions
Improve system performance, scalability and reliability
Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews and best practice
Person We Are Looking For
Strong commercial experience with C# and modern .NET (.NET 6/7/8)
Solid experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
Good understanding of SQL databases and data access patterns
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Confident working independently in a contract setting
Nice to Have
Cloud experience (Azure or AWS)
Containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
Exposure to event-driven or distributed systems
Contract Details
Rate: Up to £400 per day
IR35: Outside IR35 (subject to client assessment and documented determination)
Duration: Initial 12 month contract
Location: Belfast based, hybrid working model
