Location: Belfast - Hybrid
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus

This is not a feature-factory role.
This is a senior engineering position for someone who wants architectural influence, technical ownership, and the opportunity to shape how a platform evolves as it scales.
The Opportunity
You will join a high-calibre platform engineering team responsible for systems that directly underpin global product delivery and company growth.
These platforms are not peripheral. They are central to revenue, scalability, and long-term strategy.
You will work across the full stack using modern tooling, cloud-native infrastructure, and disciplined engineering practices. The expectation at this level is clear: strong fundamentals, clean architecture, and confident decision-making.
What You'll Be Doing
* Designing and evolving core platform systems with scalability in mind
* Delivering full-stack features using TypeScript / Node.js on the backend, and React / Next.js on the frontend
* Architecting and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS
* Defining and managing infrastructure through Terraform
* Taking ownership of CI/CD pipelines and release processes
* Applying test-driven development and strong automated testing principles
* Contributing to architectural decisions and long-term platform direction
* Troubleshooting complex production issues across the stack
* Working closely with product and delivery stakeholders to shape solutions
You will operate as a senior individual contributor with meaningful influence over design, quality, and technical standards.
What We're Looking For
* Strong commercial experience as a Software Engineer (senior level)
* Deep experience with JavaScript / TypeScript, particularly in Node.js environments
* Strong frontend capability using React and Next.js
* Hands-on AWS experience across application deployment and infrastructure
* Experience using Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
* Strong database fundamentals (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB or similar)
* Proven experience operating within modern CI/CD environments
* Clear understanding of scalable system design and cloud architecture
Highly Desirable
* Experience writing backends in Rust
* Exposure to AI-powered developer tooling and agentic workflows
* Curiosity around AI, data, and emerging technologies
* Experience in platform, SaaS, or product-led businesses
