IT Support Technician - Ballymena
Ocho People are proud to be partnering with our client, a scaling manufacturing business, as they look to add an IT Support Technician to their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, and working across a broad technology environment. The role will be based on-site in Ballymena (5 days per week) and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of IT systems across the business.
The Role
As an IT Support Technician, you will provide second-line support to internal users, helping maintain a reliable and efficient IT environment. You will troubleshoot technical issues, support infrastructure, and assist with ongoing IT improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 2nd line technical support to users across the business
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
Support and maintain Windows environments and Microsoft 365
Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and security groups
Assist with device setup, deployment, and system upgrades
Work closely with internal teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations
Support IT projects and continuous improvements to systems and processes
Maintain documentation and follow IT best practices
About You
Experience working in an IT Support / Service Desk / Desktop Support role
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, switches, routers)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and user support skills
Ability to work on-site and collaborate with teams across the business
