Overview
Ocho is working on behalf of a client with a progressive team in Newry who are in the middle of a major data transformation. They are building out a modern data capability and are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping their future platform. This position offers strong exposure to modern tooling, including Microsoft Fabric, alongside the opportunity to influence data strategy and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes across the data platform
Develop and deliver end-to-end Power BI reporting solutions for business users
Use Power Apps to create applications that streamline and automate internal processes
Contribute to the adoption of Microsoft Fabric and support the evolution of the data platform
Work closely with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accessible data
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers within the team
Person We Are Looking For
Strong experience working as a Data Engineer within a Microsoft ecosystem
Proven expertise in Power BI and Power Apps
Solid understanding of data modelling, DAX, and M query
Experience working with SQL, Azure Data Services, and cloud-based data platforms
Comfortable contributing to discussions around data architecture and platform strategy
