Contract .NET Engineer
Overview
Ocho is partnering with a Belfast-based organisation to hire a Contract .NET Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale, business-critical platforms used globally.
This is an 8-month contract sitting outside IR35, offering a largely remote working model with occasional on-site collaboration as required. You'll join a high-performing engineering team working on modern, scalable systems in a product-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable .NET applications
- Develop high-quality, performant backend services
- Work across modern architectures including APIs and distributed systems
- Collaborate with engineering, product and QA teams in an Agile environment
- Contribute to system design, performance optimisation and best practices
- Ensure code quality through testing and peer review
Person We Are Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with .NET / C#
- Experience building scalable, high-performance backend systems
- Solid understanding of APIs, microservices and distributed systems
- Experience working in cloud environments is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment
