About Our Client

Ocho People are proud to be partnering with a high-growth AI software business that is redefining how engineering teams test and ship software. Our client has built an agentic AI-powered test automation platform that enables organisations to dramatically reduce manual QA effort, accelerate release cycles, and catch critical defects earlier in the development lifecycle — all without writing a single line of test code. Backed by leading investors and trusted by engineering teams at scale-up and enterprise level, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth. The product sits at the intersection of AI, developer tooling, and CI/CD — and the Principal PM they hire will play a defining role in what it becomes.

The Role

This is a senior, highly strategic product role for an exceptional PM who has built product in the AI or developer tooling space and is ready to operate at principal level. You will own the end-to-end product vision and roadmap for the core platform, translating a deep understanding of how engineering teams work into product decisions that drive adoption, retention, and revenue. You will work directly with the founders and CTO, lead discovery with enterprise customers, and collaborate with engineering to ship at pace without sacrificing quality or direction. The agentic AI space is moving fast — this role requires someone who can set a clear north star, make hard prioritisation calls, and bring the whole organisation along with them. There is no playbook here: you will write it.

Key Responsibilities

Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the core agentic AI test automation platform, aligning it to business goals and customer outcomes

Lead deep discovery with enterprise customers and prospects to surface unmet needs, validate hypotheses, and translate insight into product direction

Define and maintain a prioritised backlog, making clear, well-reasoned calls on what gets built, what gets deferred, and why

Partner with engineering and design in a tight, fast-moving squad to ship high-quality product increments on a regular cadence

Work closely with founders and leadership to shape the long-term product strategy, inform go-to-market positioning, and influence pricing and packaging decisions

Define and track the metrics that matter — activation, engagement, retention, and expansion — and use data to drive product decisions

Serve as the internal authority on the competitive landscape, agentic AI trends, and the evolving developer testing ecosystem

Collaborate with sales and customer success to understand the commercial impact of product decisions and support key enterprise deals

Mentor and raise the bar across the product function, establishing strong PM practice as the team grows

Communicate product direction clearly and compellingly to customers, investors, and internal stakeholders at all levels

What You’ll Need

Essential

7+ years’ product management experience, with at least 3 years at senior or principal level in a B2B SaaS environment

Proven track record owning a core product area end-to-end — from strategy through discovery, roadmap, and delivery

Experience building product in the AI, developer tooling, DevOps, or software testing space

Deep understanding of how engineering and QA teams work, and the pain points that drive buying decisions in this space

Strong analytical mindset — comfortable defining success metrics, interpreting product data, and running structured experiments

Demonstrated ability to make and defend hard prioritisation decisions in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment

Excellent written and verbal communication — able to inspire confidence with customers, engineers, and executives alike

Right to work in the USA without restriction

Desirable / Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with agentic AI, LLM-powered products, or AI-native developer tooling

Background in software engineering or QA — able to engage credibly with technical architecture discussions

Experience at a high-growth Series A–C company, ideally through a significant scaling phase

Why Apply?

Base salary $200,000–$240,000 depending on experience, plus meaningful early-stage equity

Fully remote — work from anywhere in the USA with genuine flexibility

Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match

Own a core product at a company defining a genuinely new category in AI and developer tooling

Direct access to founders and the CTO — real influence at the highest level, not product in a committee

Shape the PM function itself as the team scales — a genuine opportunity to build and lead

Work on a problem that resonates deeply with engineering teams everywhere: shipping software faster and with more confidence
