Senior .NET / C# Engineer

Our client is a well-established SaaS business serving the finance and professional services sector, with a product that is deeply embedded in the workflows of a large and growing customer base. The Role
This is a senior individual contributor position, stepping into a role that has been at the heart of the engineering team for a number of years. You will work across a modern .NET stack, contributing to a product that is actively evolving, with cloud infrastructure on Azure and a strong focus on engineering quality. You will collaborate closely with other experienced engineers and have genuine influence over technical direction. The team values pragmatism, craft, and people who take ownership of what they ship.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver robust, scalable features across the full .NET stack
• Write clean, well-tested C# code that meets a high bar for maintainability
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap discussions
• Work with SQL databases to design and optimise data layers
• Integrate with and build upon Azure-hosted infrastructure and services
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA throughout delivery
• Mentor and support less experienced members of the team
• Participate in code review, raising and maintaining standards across the codebase
• Engage with CI/CD pipelines and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
What You'll Need
Essential:
• 5+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Hands-on experience with Azure services in a production environment
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and modern deployment pipelines
• A collaborative approach and the communication skills to work effectively across a distributed team
• Right to work in the UK or Ireland
Desirable / Nice to Have:
• Experience in a B2B SaaS or fintech environment
• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot
