Role Overview
This is a Principal Platform Architect role accountable for leading the delivery of cloud platforms and solutions that enable business transformation for customers and users worldwide. You'll provide leadership across multi-disciplinary agile teams, building shared understanding of desired outcomes and the technical landscape to help teams make informed decisions. You'll build relationships with senior stakeholders to establish architectural principles and strategic direction, and play a leading role in driving technology direction across the wider Platforms Capability — while also supporting others' career journeys and being supported in your own.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of cloud platforms and solutions enabling business transformation
  • Provide architectural leadership within multi-disciplinary agile teams
  • Build shared understanding of outcomes, technical landscape and complexity to inform design decisions
  • Build and foster relationships with senior stakeholders, establishing architectural principles and strategic direction
  • Understand and articulate functional and non-functional requirements
  • Drive technology direction and advancement within the Platforms Capability
  • Guide others in the capability to support their career development
  • Establish blueprints and standards, contribute to account strategy, and act as a technology ambassador

 

What You'll Need

Essential:

  • Willingness to work on complex, ambitious Public Sector programmes (SC clearance required — can be obtained upon offer)
  • Proven experience leading delivery of platforms underpinning large-scale cloud transformation (migration, modernisation, web-based application deployment)
  • Experience leading technology decisions and driving delivery to positive customer outcomes
  • Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders, including executive/C-level, translating technical information to support decision-making
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Demonstrated ability managing, coaching and developing team members

Desirable:

  • Track record proactively developing business across an account with sales/account managers
  • Experience managing others, including setting objectives, giving feedback and leading performance reviews
  • Active in sharing views on technology
  • Experience bringing challenging projects back on track
  • Accountability for creating and promoting new products or services aligned to organisational strategy
  • Participation in technology communities
