Senior Software Engineer | .NET, AWS | Belfast (Hybrid)

Location: Belfast (Hybrid 3 days)
Type: Permanent

About the Opportunity:

This role sits within a high-performing engineering environment delivering large-scale, business-critical systems. Teams are structured around features, with strong technical leadership and well-defined requirements upstream, allowing engineers to focus on high-quality delivery.

You will work on cloud-native .NET services that underpin core platform capabilities, contributing to systems designed for scale, resilience, and performance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design, build, and operate backend services using C# and .NET
  • Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS, including serverless architectures
  • Work within feature-led teams alongside Staff and Senior Engineers
  • Contribute across the full lifecycle from design through to production support
  • Build systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and operations teams
  • Investigate and resolve production issues across live environments
  • Improve engineering workflows through automation and CI/CD practices
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
  • Hands-on experience building cloud-based systems on AWS
  • Experience working with distributed or event-driven architectures
  • Strong understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Experience working in Lean or Agile delivery environments
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and release processes
  • Strong problem-solving ability across complex systems
  • Clear communication skills and collaborative mindset
