The Role
This is a senior leadership position at Associate Director level within a highly regarded and growing audit and assurance practice. You will take full ownership of a broad and varied client portfolio, lead engagements end-to-end and play a genuine role in shaping the direction and growth of the team around you. Reporting directly into Partner level, this is a role for someone who wants real ownership, not just responsibility, and who is ready to take the next step towards Partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a diverse portfolio of clients spanning entrepreneurial businesses through to large, complex groups
- Lead high quality audit engagements from planning through to sign-off with full accountability for output and quality
- Build and maintain trusted senior client relationships, going beyond the technical to deliver genuine commercial value
- Drive business development activity including pitches, tenders and new client acquisition
- Mentor, coach and develop junior and mid-level audit professionals within the team
- Manage WIP, billings, fee negotiations and commercial performance across your portfolio
- Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the audit practice
What You'll Need
Essential:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with 7+ years of post-qualification experience
- Technically strong across Irish and UK GAAP and auditing standards
- Proven experience owning and growing a client portfolio at senior level
- Strong commercial awareness and confident senior stakeholder management
- Right to work in Northern Ireland
Desirable:
- IFRS experience
- Background in a Big 4 or large mid-tier firm
- Business development experience including tender preparation and pitching
