       PE-backed, high-growth technology business

About the Company

A fast-growing technology business whose platform helps major organisations across financial services, technology and complex industrial sectors turn data into faster, more accurate decisions. Backed by a leading private equity investor, the business is pursuing growth both organically and through acquisition, with an established international footprint.

The Role

This is an opportunity to lead an established Strategic Finance function and sit at the centre of the business's most significant areas of investment, partnering directly with engineering, product and senior leadership. You'll own financial planning and strategic decision support, building business cases, leading investment recommendations, and shaping how the business allocates capital as it scales. You'll work closely with the CFO and executive team, with regular exposure to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Lead ad hoc strategic finance projects, including building full business cases for new investment and product lines

Support evaluation of acquisition and partnership opportunities alongside corporate development

Partner with product and engineering leaders to evaluate ROI of major investments and prioritise the roadmap accordingly

Assess the economics and ROI of AI and automation initiatives, establishing appropriate cost and investment guardrails

Build the financial connective tissue between go-to-market and product investment

Own headcount and spend governance, bringing a long-term, value-creation lens to resourcing decisions

Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts

Own variance analysis against budget and forecast, working with leaders to course-correct

Prepare financial and strategic updates for executive leadership, with polish suitable for board and investor audiences

Lead and develop a Strategic Finance team

What You'll Need

Essential:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field

Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Significant experience in Transaction Services, Financial Due Diligence, Deal Advisory, corporate FP&A, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment

Prior exposure to the technology or software sector

Fluency with core software and commercial metrics

Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills, able to build robust models from scratch

Strong PowerPoint skills for translating analysis into a clear executive narrative

Comfort with, or genuine interest in, how private equity sponsors think about value creation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the presence to work directly with senior leadership

Desirable:

       Direct SaaS/ARR metrics experience

Experience partnering directly with R&D or engineering teams

Experience managing or developing a finance team

Why Apply

High impact from day one, shaping investment priorities and growth decisions directly

Genuine autonomy over ambiguous, open-ended strategic mandates

Executive exposure, working closely with the CFO and senior leadership, with regular visibility to the CEO

A high-growth, PE-backed platform pursuing both organic and acquisitive growth

       A front-row seat on a genuine value-creation story
