Senior Software Engineer – Azure DevOps

Role Overview
This is a hands-on role ideal for an engineer who blends deep coding experience with cloud infrastructure confidence. You’ll play a key role in development efforts on full-stack projects, with an emphasis on secure, scalable Azure deployments, DevOps best practices, and performance at scale.
You’ll have the freedom to influence architecture, mentor other engineers, and embed quality into every stage of the SDLC, all while contributing high-quality code yourself.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cloud-native applications using C#, TypeScript, and modern JS frameworks
- Take ownership of end-to-end build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Implement IaC (Terraform or ARM) and build CI/CD workflows
- Work closely with DevOps engineers to optimise cloud performance, cost, and observability
- Champion secure development, clean code, and test-driven design
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Deep experience with .NET (C#) and front-end frameworks like React or Angular
- Strong knowledge of Azure services: App Services, Functions, SQL, Blob, Service Bus etc.
- Commercial experience building pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep)
- Confident with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
- Familiar with data pipelines or event-driven architectures (desirable)
- Collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring
