Senior & Principal Software Developers – (Core Java)

Ocho is partnering with a fast-growing, product-led client as thei build out a brand-new Development team from scratch for an exciting Greenfield project. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, building, and scaling modern backend systems in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain backend systems with a focus on performance and scalability
· Collaborate across small teams to solve real customer problems with elegant technical solutions
· Own the full SDLC, from analysis to release and beyond
· Mentor and support your teammates, bringing leadership and clarity in complex situations
· Actively contribute to technical direction, tooling choices and architectural decisions
Essential Experience
· 8+ years’ experience in software engineering roles, ideally with some Fintech experience
· Deep expertise in Core Java, OO design, and software architecture
· Proven delivery of secure, scalable, high-quality services
· Familiarity with modern development tools and practices including CI/CD, automation, and behavioural-driven development
