With a new Belfast engineering hub, they are building core trading systems and infrastructure locally, focusing on high-performance, real-time systems ahead of a major trading platform launch in 2026.
The Role
We’re looking for a Mid/Senior Automation QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience in automated testing, ideally with Playwright, to join the founding Belfast engineering pod. You’ll ensure software reliability, develop automated pipelines, integrate QA into CI/CD, and contribute to testing strategy and best practices from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain Playwright automation suites for web applications, APIs, and services
• Identify and report defects, collaborating closely with developers to resolve issues
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
• Influence QA strategy and advocate for testing standards and best practices
• Support system validation and release management for production deployments
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 3+ years in QA or software engineering with automation focus
• Hands-on experience with Playwright (or similar frameworks)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Exposure to financial systems, real-time data, or trading platforms is a plus
Essential Criteria
• Proven track record in automation testing for web and backend systems
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
