Why This Organisation

Our client is a world leading provider of financial markets infrastructure, operating at the heart of global financial and commodities markets from more than 60 offices across 27 countries. With over 5,200 people globally, their engineering teams build and maintain the technology that underpins price discovery, liquidity and data distribution at enormous scale.

They are investing seriously in Belfast for the long term. They have hired 18 engineers here already this year and have just moved into a brand new Belfast city centre office to support that growth. This is not a satellite function. It is a core engineering hub where quality is built in from the start and QA engineers are treated as first class members of the team.

If you are a QA engineer who wants to work somewhere that takes quality seriously, surrounds you with strong engineers and gives you the tools and autonomy to do your best work, this is worth your attention.

The Role and What It Can Do For Your Career

This is a QA Engineer position within a high performing Agile engineering team, working closely with Product Owners, developers and fellow QA engineers to embed quality across every sprint. You will contribute to test strategy, build and maintain automated test suites, integrate tests into CI and CD pipelines and validate the reliability and performance of systems that operate in live global financial markets.

The career value here is real. You will be working on distributed, cloud native systems at significant scale in an environment where engineering standards are high and continuous improvement is expected. AI assisted testing is a core part of how this team works — tools like Copilot and Amazon Q are embedded in daily workflows — and your experience with those tools will grow quickly. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and grow alongside a broader QA community as the Belfast team continues to expand.

The stack is Playwright, BDD with Cucumber, CI and CD pipeline integration across Jenkins and GitLab, performance and load testing with K6 and JMeter, and API and end to end testing across complex distributed systems.

What you will need:

Experience in QA or software testing with a solid focus on automation

Hands on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar

Experience or strong interest in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber

Familiarity with CI and CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices

Experience with API and functional testing

Good understanding of software development and testing lifecycles in Agile environments

Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

Nice to Have:

Experience using AI tools such as Copilot or Amazon Q in testing workflows

Experience with performance or load testing tools such as K6 or JMeter

Exposure to AWS, microservices or serverless architectures

Formal testing qualifications such as ISTQB

Why You Should Apply Now

This is a rare combination — a globally significant organisation, a brand new Belfast city centre office, a team that is growing fast and a QA role where your work will genuinely matter. The salary and bonus package reflect the level of the environment you would be stepping into.

Salary up to £50,000 plus a 10 to 15% performance bonus. Hybrid working from a brand new Belfast city centre office.
