About the Company
Our client is a specialist manufacturer based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, with deep expertise across complex production, supply chain, and engineering operations. They are currently in the midst of a significant digital transformation, replacing legacy systems with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. This is a business that values structured thinking, strong communication, and people who can translate complexity into clarity.
The Role
As ERP Business Analyst, you will sit at the centre of the implementation programme, connecting the needs of the business with the capabilities of the solution. You will work with stakeholders across manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and operations to capture requirements, map processes, and ensure the ERP is configured to support how the business actually works. You will also play a key role in testing, training, and change management as the programme moves towards go-live. This role suits a diligent, organised analyst who is comfortable in both workshop rooms and technical conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders across the business to analyse, document, and improve business processes
- Capture and document detailed business requirements for the Dynamics 365 F&O implementation
- Produce as-is and to-be process maps, functional specifications, and configuration documentation
- Participate in solution design workshops with internal teams and external implementation partners
- Support integration mapping with manufacturing systems including production planning, BOM, shop floor control, inventory, and PLM
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, and issue resolution
- Act as a key liaison between IT, business users, and third-party ERP implementation partners
- Support training, user adoption activities, and the production of user documentation
- Provide ongoing support for existing production systems including Sage Line 500 during transition
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardisation throughout the programme
What You'll Need
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst working with ERP systems in a manufacturing or operations environment
- Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX implementations
- Ability to gather, document, and validate business requirements and process maps to a high standard
- Understanding of key manufacturing processes: supply chain, finance, production, and inventory
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or major system upgrades through the full project lifecycle
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
- Degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable / Nice to Have:
- Experience with Sage ERP systems (Sage 200, Sage X3, or Sage Line 500)
- Knowledge of production planning, BOM management, or inventory control processes
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification or equivalent
