Job description.

Senior Accountant

Qualified accountant stepping into a high-impact, standalone finance role

Broad remit across reporting, controls, treasury and commercial finance

        Office-based | Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh

        Salary up to £50,000 DOE

Early finish Fridays — great work/life balance

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-established, commercially successful business with operations that stretch well beyond Northern Ireland. With a strong international footprint and a track record of sustained growth, they operate in a fast-moving, high-volume sector where financial rigour and commercial awareness go hand in hand. This is a business that takes finance seriously — and the people in it are given the tools, trust and scope to make a real difference.

THE ROLE

This is a broad and varied senior finance position reporting to an experienced financial leader at the top of the organisation. You will take full ownership of financial reporting, controls and compliance for a significant part of the business, while also supporting strategic decision-making through timely, accurate management information. Day to day you will work across everything from ledger oversight and reconciliations to budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting. If you are a qualified accountant who wants genuine ownership of a finance function — rather than a narrow, task-focused role — this is worth a conversation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the production of monthly management accounts and deliver clear, insightful financial commentary to senior leadership

Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, challenging assumptions and ensuring commercial alignment

Manage treasury activity including cashflow forecasting, foreign currency exposure and bank reconciliations across multiple currencies

Ensure full compliance with VAT obligations and support all year-end statutory reporting requirements

Oversee the integrity of the ledgers, credit control function and stock accounting

Develop and embed financial controls and process improvements across the function

Produce monthly KPI packs and performance reports tailored to the needs of senior stakeholders

Coach and supervise junior finance staff, supporting their development and day-to-day output

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential

Fully qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent — with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience

Solid, hands-on experience across management accounts, month-end close and financial reporting

Confidence working in a multi-currency environment with exposure to foreign exchange

Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting ERP systems

A natural problem-solver — commercially minded, organised and able to work under pressure

Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice to Have

Experience leading or mentoring a small finance team

Exposure to tax compliance or working knowledge of indirect taxes

WHY APPLY?

Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience

        Free on-site parking

Genuine autonomy and ownership over a significant finance remit

Exposure to international commercial activity and cross-border financial operations

A stable, growing employer with strong values and a long-term outlook
