About the Company

Our client is a leading global professional services firm with a well established legal operations presence in Belfast, supporting major financial institutions across trading documentation, contract remediation and client lifecycle management. It combines the scale and stability of a global brand with genuine investment in its people, and has built a reputation locally as a destination for specialist legal talent.

The Role

You will join a growing legal operations function that negotiates and reviews trading documentation for major banking and investment clients. The team offers the rigour of a Big 4 environment alongside genuine ownership over your own caseload, with real scope to shape how the function develops as it grows. You will work closely with in-house legal and documentation teams at global financial institutions, as well as colleagues across contract remediation and client lifecycle management. This role suits someone who enjoys detailed negotiation work and wants to build a career within a specialist, high profile function rather than a traditional law firm route.

Key Responsibilities

Negotiate and review ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs and related trading documentation with counterparties

Manage a caseload of documentation negotiations from instruction through to execution

Liaise directly with in-house legal and documentation teams at major banking clients

Escalate complex negotiation points to senior stakeholders where required

Support wider contract and regulatory remediation projects as needed

Contribute to client lifecycle management and KYC related documentation work

Track and report on documentation status against agreed timelines

Identify opportunities to improve negotiation processes and templates

Build strong working relationships with client side counterparts

What You'll Need

Essential:

Hands-on experience negotiating or reviewing trading documentation such as ISDA or CSA

Strong understanding of derivatives or capital markets documentation

A clear, confident communicator comfortable managing stakeholders directly

Based in or willing to work from Belfast on a hybrid basis

Desirable / Nice to Have:

Experience gained within a law firm, in-house banking legal team, or outsourced legal/compliance provider

Exposure to contract remediation or client lifecycle management work

NI or dual (NI/England and Wales) qualification

Why Apply?

Salary open and will flex to match your expectations

Hybrid working: three days in the office, two from home

Pension contribution and performance related bonus scheme

        Private healthcare cover

        Strong annual leave allowance

No lengthy, multi stage interview process... this starts with an informal chat

Genuine ownership of your own caseload within a growing, high profile function

The credibility and stability of a global professional services brand
